He Who Wanted

Solo exhibition at Ramat Gan Museum, 2010

Accompanied by a catalog and text by curator Gideon Ofrat. The show consisted entirely of one triptych* spanning five meters long. In the triptych “He Who Wanted” Hirschfeld weaves together ancient Greek mythology with his own personal and genealogical narrative.  It presents a take on mythology as separate from the humanistic and therefore as something dangerous.

* Three oil painted canvases, 170x170 cm each.
